Women In Sports - Paris Olympics 2024
Joining forces to celebrate Women In Sports, I was honored to complete a commission for ROZZEIRA (Women's Soccer Magazine) in 2024. This special project involved creating a painting for the launch of "Les femmes dans le sport," which was featured to promote women in sports during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The 2024 Paris Olympics will be historic as it marks the first time in history with full gender equality. Out of 10,500 athletes, 5,250 will be women, achieving a groundbreaking 50/50 split between female and male competitors. This milestone represents a major step forward in inclusivity and equality in sports.
Thank you, ROZZEIRA, for the opportunity to paint a tribute to a 1924 Paris Olympic poster (designed by the artist and illustrator Jean Droit), celebrating the progress and highlighting the shift towards gender representation in sports. Now, it’s time for women to take the spotlight!
